Fish Tacos (under 500 calories!)

Are you looking for a healthy cheat like fish tacos? This is a GENEROUS serving for under 500 calories! PS. you get 2 tacos. Protein will come mainly from the cod fillet, but also from the plain Greek yogurt. Healthy fats come from avocado and coconut oil, and carbs will come from the tortillas. Make sure you get the Mission Tortillas Carb Balance whole wheat. You can easily make this dinner in about 20 minutes.

Fish Tacos

Under 500 Calories! Clean Cheat fish tacos.

Ingredients (4 tacos, two servings)

  • 2 – 5 oz Cod Fillets
  • 4 Carb Balance Whole Wheat Mission Tortillas
  • 3 oz 0% Fage Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 30 g Cilantro Avocado Yogurt Dressing
  • 6 oz Coleslaw Angel Hair Mix
  • 1/4 cup Canned Rotel diced tomatoes with lime and jalapeno
  • 1/2 medium avocado, diced
  • Coconut Oil non-stick cooking spray


  1. Preheat your skillet on medium-high. When hot, spray generously with the Coconut Oil non-stick cooking spray, and add your cod fillets. Cover. Reduce heat to medium. Let cook about 12-15 minutes until fish reaches 145 F internal temperature.
  2. While cod is cooking, in a medium bowl, mix the Greek Yogurt and cilantro yogurt dressing. Add coleslaw until it’s coated well.
  3. Warm up the tortillas.


  1. Break up the fillets and place 2.5 oz in each tortilla.
  2. Add coleslaw mixture, Rotel tomatoes, and avocado.
  3. Makes 4 tacos, two per serving
